INDIANAPOLIS – Marian University is proud to announce that Chris Creighton, vice president of Innovation and Growth, has been awarded the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash, the highest honor bestowed by the Governor of Indiana.
Creighton, who joined Marian University in December 2023, has been recognized for his distinguished service to the State of Indiana. This award is a personal tribute given to those who have contributed significantly to the state or rendered distinguished service to the governor.
Before his role at Marian University, Creighton served as chief of staff for the Indiana Department of Transportation and Legislative Director for Governor Eric Holcomb. His extensive experience in public service significantly contributed to the advancement of Indiana’s interests.
In his current role, Creighton is instrumental in driving strategic initiatives at Marian University, including the development of the Riverside Education Innovation District (REID) which aims to advance the near northwest area through educational attainment and investment.
