Marian University Medical Students Honored at 43rd Annual IOA Winter Update Conference

Marian University Medical Students Congratulations to the transformational members of the Marian University Tom and Julie Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine (MU-WCOM) community who were honored at the Indiana Osteopathic Association (IOA) Winter Update Conference! The conference provided resources and updated information for Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine at every stage of their careers. Three members of MU-WCOM were honored during the conference for their incredible contributions to the field. Congratulations to the following Shining Stars:

  • Austin Layton, OMS-2, was awarded the Motyka Dannin Foundation $10,000 Forgivable Loan, supporting his journey toward making a difference in healthcare.
  • Taylor Bachert, DO '20, was named Outstanding Young DO of the Year, celebrating her incredible contributions as a rising leader in osteopathic education.
  • Jeremy Jones, DO, associate professor of Primary Care, was recognized as Outstanding Osteopathic Educator of the Year for his dedication to shaping the next generation of osteopathic physicians.
