The REID Report: Exciting Updates on the Riverside Education Innovation District

REID ProjectSince receiving a grant from Lilly Endowment to support the Riverside Education Innovation District, exciting work has been taking place to bring this bold plan to life.

We are excited to share the good news and celebrate some significant highlights.

Ownership of the vacant Larue Carter property has transferred to the newly formed Cold Spring Innovation Corporation, a supporting organization to Marian University, that will oversee property development.

Contractor selection is underway for renovations on the original Indiana Veterans Administration Hospital for office space for educational programming. To discuss partnering options for your organization, contact Chris Creighton, Vice President of Innovation and Growth at CCreighton@Marian.edu.

Marian alumna Diane Wade, ’96, was hired as Director of Community Engagement & Marketing for the project and the first community event is planned for March 4th.  Diane shares, “Marian University’s Franciscan values are deeply aligned with our efforts to improve student literacy and increase educational attainment and lifetime earnings in the Near Northwest area. It’s an honor to be part of the team and walk alongside our neighbors to help achieve these goals.”

Klipsch Educators College and Center for Vibrant Schools recently hosted our local K-12 schools to celebrate the partnership and discuss plans to drive educational attainment in our community.
