The program offers a 16-week morning course or a 12-week evening course focused on every stage of the entrepreneurial journey—from idea development and product testing to community engagement and business sustainability.

Participants will earn a certificate upon completion and gain access to a network of mentors, guest speakers, and local business leaders who bring real-world experience into the classroom. The program welcomes anyone passionate about "all things entrepreneurship," including those exploring opportunities in fields like real estate, agriculture, veterinary services, and photography. If you are someone looking to fix an unworkable or unavoidable problem, this course will help you solidify your research and try your idea out.

"This is more than just a class—it is a launchpad," said Jim Cawthon, program instructor and long-time advocate for small business development. "We are helping people take their ideas from concept to reality, while building a stronger, more connected entrepreneurial community here in Marshall County."

Classes begin this spring semester, meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings (8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.) or evenings (6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.). Sessions will be held at Marian University's Ancilla College.

The program is offered at a reduced community rate of $100 for the 2025–2026 academic year, making it an accessible opportunity for adults ready to take the next step toward business ownership.

"We are not just launching businesses—we are strengthening our local economy," Cawthon added. "When entrepreneurs thrive, our entire community benefits."
