Marian University respects the privacy of all online visitors. This privacy policy establishes how the Marian University collects and uses information and how that information is protected, consistent with applicable law and the following principles:
For each visitor to the Marian University web site, our web server collects information about IP addresses, domain names, and user behavior to correct server problems and administer our site. This information also allows us to statistically analyze site usage and improve our content and layout.
For visitors who send us e-mail, inquire for information, or apply for admission, we collect directory information to allow us to contact you, verify identity, or respond to your inquiry. Directory information may be released, including to third-party vendors, with a non-disclosure agreement in place for statistical analysis to improve our marketing content and layout; enrolled students may file the appropriate form requesting that public information not be released with the Office of the Registrar.
Information submitted voluntarily through feedback forms, applications for admission, or other means is used only for the purpose indicated. Responses to surveys or other information gathering is used only in an aggregate format—no individual information is disseminated.
E-Commerce
Currently our site accommodates online giving and deposits via a secure server using encryption. All contact information is kept strictly confidential and financial information that is provided is used only to complete the gift or deposit transaction.
Mobile Terms of Service
When you opt-in to receiving text messages from Marian University, we will send you an SMS message to confirm your signup.
Text messages are used to communication with prospective and applied students regarding program information, their application, or events of interest.
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
If at any time you forget what keywords are supported, just text "HELP" to the short code. After you send the SMS message "HELP" to us, we will respond with instructions on how to use our service as well as how to unsubscribe.
