If you're pursuing a career in allied health, the Exercise Science major is designed for you. This highly customizable program gives you a strong foundation in human anatomy, physiology, chemistry, movement science, and both exercise and clinical exercise physiology.
You'll engage in a well-rounded curriculum covering key health sciences. This major requires general chemistry, so you'll need a background in high school chemistry and mathematics through pre-calculus. The Exercise Science curriculum closely aligns with the Physiology of Exercise major, so you may want to explore both before making your decision. There’s also some career overlap with the Sports Performance and Nutrition Fitness Wellness majors.
