As part of our accreditor’s requirements, our desire for continuous improvement, and to demonstrate responsible stewardship of university resources all programs are required to participate in the program review process. This will be accomplished through the completion of 1) assessment plans and annual assessment reports; and 2) periodic formal program reviews.
This continuous improvement process is expected to achieve a demonstrated and sustained effort of program improvement in terms of the quality of instruction; number of students enrolled, retained, and graduated; attainment of student learning outcomes; alignment with strategic plans and initiatives; efficiency of operations; and distinctiveness in the market.
Programs will receive guidance through this process from the Teaching and Learning Committee. A Program Review Board comprised of the Assistant Provost for Teaching and Learning, the Assistant Provost for Accreditation and Administration, an appointed faculty member from each of the colleges/schools, and a representative from the Teaching and Learning Committee will conduct the formal reviews of each program.
