ADA Accessibility for Guests - Ancilla Campus
To ensure Marian University is an accessible place for guests, the following access supports have been set up for major commencement ceremonies. Guests needing disability-related accommodations (that are not already listed below) should contact Tammi Wager, Executive Assistant (twager@marian.edu) at least two weeks prior to commencement events.
Accessible Parking: Designated Accessible Parking (with appropriate hangtag and/or license plate) will be available on the east side of the Ancilla Domini Chapel (number 3 on campus map) within the horseshoe drive. Additional accessible parking is available on the west side of the College (number 2 on campus map).
Elevator Access: Elevators can be found at the entrance of the Ancilla Domini Chapel by the horseshoe drive, as well as the first floor when entering from the college lot. Volunteers can help you locate these, if needed.
Accessible Seating: Guest seating is directly behind the graduate seating in the Ancilla Domini Chapel. Seating is on a flat surface and wheelchair accessible seating is located in the middle of the pews. Additional seating is located in Cana Hall and is wheelchair accessible. Ushers will be available to help you find this seating, if needed. This seating is not reservable and is on a first come, first serve basis.
Accessible Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on floor one outside of Cana Hall and on floor 2 at the main Chapel entrance.
ADA Accessibility for Guests - Indianapolis Campus
To ensure Marian University is an accessible place for guests, the following access supports have been set up for major commencement ceremonies. Guests needing disability-related accommodations (that are not already listed below) should contact the Personalized Learning Center (plc@marian.edu) at least two weeks prior to commencement events.
Accessible Parking: Designated Accessible Parking (with appropriate hangtag and/or license plate) will be available at the south end of the Arena and Convocation Center. This space is designated on the campus map with an accessible parking emblem.
Transportation around Campus: The University Shuttle and golf carts will be running both Saturday and Sunday and will be available for guests who may be unable to walk longer distances. Drop off will be in front of the Peyton Manning Hall of Champions/Arena. Please refer to the campus map to view appropriate parking lots. The University Shuttle is wheelchair accessible.
Accessible Seating: Accessible seating will be directly behind graduate seating in the arena. This space allows for the wheelchair user and one companion. Ushers will be available to help you find this seating, if needed. This seating is not able to be reserved and is on a first come, first serve basis.
Accessible Restrooms: Accessible restrooms are located on the main floor of the PE Center. Additionally, at the north end of the PE Center is a larger family/companion restroom.
Captioning: Saturday morning Mass and both Saturday and Sunday ceremonies will have live captioning to ensure access for students, staff and guests. Captions will be shown on the main screen and on the viewing screens in Alumni Hall.
ADA Accessibility for Degree Candidates (all locations)
Degree candidates needing disability accommodations in order to participate in one of the commencement ceremonies located at the Indianapolis campus** should contact the Personalized Learning Center (plc@marian.edu).
Please notify the PLC at least two weeks prior to the commencement ceremony regarding any potential disability-related needs including but not limited to:
