Transcripts, Diplomas, and Student Records

Your official academic transcript is a comprehensive record of all courses you have completed at Marian University (formerly Marian College). It is a violation of federal law to release a copy of a transcript without your authorization. Currently enrolled students can access an unofficial transcript, free of charge, in their MUHUB.

Your diploma is a ceremonial document and the university does not retain a copy. Once the original has been issued, you must request a reprint if an additional diploma is needed. Students who graduated in spring 2019 forward, were issued a digital diploma if they were clear of financial charges at the time of graduation. If you have since cleared a hold, please contact our office via email at regis@marian.edu to request the release of your digital diploma.

Transcript and Diploma Ordering

Orders must be placed through the Parchment Storefront

Please use the Parchment Account Creation and Ordering Instructions to assist. The Parchment account is not linked to any Marian issued user name or password. An order can be placed for a transcript or diploma based on the option selected when ordering. Ordering fees will be applied based on the type of document needed and processing time. Orders must be paid by credit or debit card at the time the order is placed.

Transcripts can also be requested on behalf of a student using Third Party ordering for outside schools or organizations. The third-party is responsible for the fees incurred by the request. We do not accept third-party transcript requests in any other format. Please note that the third party must upload a signed release from the student when the order is placed.

Transcript and diploma reprint requests cannot be accepted by phone. In addition, requests will not be processed on weekends, university observed holidays or during unforeseen university closures.

Additional information is available for medical students requesting transcripts for residency programs.

Transcript Orders and Financial Holds

Effective July 2024, Marian University will no longer hold official transcript orders due to a financial hold.

Individuals who place a transcript order, and have a financial obligation with the university, can expect the order to be fulfilled within 10-15 business days. During those 10-15 business days, the university business office will attempt to provide the individual with a written confirmation of the account balance and offer a written payment plan to cover the full balance. If applicable, the business office will provide, in writing, the University’s collection process.

The business office will notify the registrar’s office when the review of the account has been fulfilled and will process the transcript order, regardless of account balance status after the business office review.

Marian University will add the following transcript comment to all transcript orders where a financial obligation to the university is still owed:

Not in good financial standing: as of the date of this document, student is not in good financial standing with the university.

The transcript comment will be removed once all financial obligations have been fulfilled.
