Early childhood education (ECE) is a term to describe formal and informal educational programs that guide the growth and development of children throughout their preschool years (birth to age five). Children at these ages depend entirely on their adult caregivers, including parents, daycare providers, babysitters, extended family members, and teachers.
ECE encompasses various activities designed to promote children’s cognitive and social development before kindergarten. Some programs primarily focus on school and academic readiness, while others embrace a “whole child” approach that emphasizes mental and emotional preparedness. In addition, Saint Joe’s students will participate in the “earn and learn” program. Each student will be matched with a community partner where they are applying the skills learned in the classroom while working approximately 20 hours per week in their first year. Graduates of our Associates in Science (AS) in Early Childhood Education program can seamlessly transition to Marian University’s four-year institution.
The area of Information Technology is a foundational asset to the advancement of all technical fields. It goes without saying that all industries are dependent on their use of technology as a means to streamline services, supports, processes, as well as provide innovative products.
What can and will set ourselves apart is a direct approach to providing hands-on exploratory learning to meet the current as well as next generations of students where they are. This will involve direct engagement with software and hardware. This also involves collaborations with various parties in the technology spaces. From this our student academic rigor will be coupled with industry certificates and certifications as early as the 1st year of programing. These certificates and certification as well as our efforts to grow our brand as a qualified stamp of approval on the growth of aspiring IT Professionals.
