Nurse Anesthesia Program

Nurse Anesthesia Track

The Nurse Anesthesia curriculum totals 87 credit-hours and provides RNs with critical care experience to administer anesthesia in all anesthetic settings to individuals of diverse populations across the lifespan.

  • Didactic and clinical experiences will be supplemented by education and training in our high-fidelity anesthesia simulation lab.
  • Expert certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and anesthesiologists provide clinical education in all forms of anesthesia care throughout the lifespan.
  • This is a full-time, 36-month program with one cohort admitted yearly.
  • Class size is 34 students per year.

The program's next review by the COA is scheduled for May 2032.

The program enrolls only Bachelor of Science in Nursing students from an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) or CCNE accredited program, who meet all admission criteria annually. 

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice program of Marian University Leighton School of Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
