The Academy for Teaching and Learning Leadership is the graduate education department for the Educators College at Marian University.

If you want the knowledge, skill, and experience to serve as a transformational leader in K-12 schools, you've come to the right place.

Our curriculum and instruction is built on a "differentiated faculty" model that includes nationally and internationally scholars, researchers, and authors in addition to our own full-time faculty. They are experienced educators from public, charter, private, and parochial schools who have taught in urban, suburban, township, and rural school systems across central Indiana. 

As a student, you'll be challenged to explore complex educational issues and develop innovative solutions that may run counter to conventional wisdom.

That's why we are dedicated to preparing school teachers, program directors, principals, superintendents, and others to develop solutions to complex educational challenges.

 

LaNier L. Echols

LaNier L. Echols is Dean of Students at Carpe Diem Meridian Campus and is a member of the inaugural cohort of the leadership academy. She says that her experience will help her make a difference to many more students. “I can maximize my impact by becoming a transformational leader and turning around Indiana’s struggling schools,” she says.
