On February 12, 2011, students in Marian’s Adult Programs will have another opportunity to hone their writing skills. Lesley Neff, director of educational services for MAP, and Stacy Wriston, MAP adjunct instructor, will conduct a free writing workshop from 2-4:30 p.m. at Marian University’s main campus (building and room location to be provided later).
This will be the third time this workshop has been presented, and students attending the two previous sessions have commented it was truly "time well spent!" Beneficial to all students, not just students who have yet to take MAP-required English courses, topics on the agenda are tips on organization, editing, revising, proofreading, professional writing hints, and formatting business letters. There will be information on preparing resumes and application letters, as well as research, documentation, and citations.
This workshop will be an information-packed session that all students are encouraged to attend. Call or e-mail your academic advisor to RSVP.
